Each year, Juilliard Summer offers a series of high-level intensives held at our Lincoln Center campus in New York City and let by members of the Juilliard community including College Division faculty and alumni. Explore these and other opportunities below.

  • Juilliard Summer Music

    Designed for high school instrumentalists, singers, and composers, Juilliard Summer Music immerses students in a learning environment where they can develop their artistry through lessons, coachings, studio classes, master classes, ensembles, career seminars and more. During their session, students live and study at Juilliard’s Lincoln Center campus, in addition to performing on professional stages.

  • Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive

    Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive is a curated three-week program designed to both introduce dancers to Juilliard and provide information about college dance programs that will assist dancers in making decisions about their education in line with their professional goals. The program takes place at Juilliard’s Lincoln Center campus and is open to advanced high school dancers with significant prior training in classical ballet.

  • Juilliard String Quartet Seminar

    Each year, Juilliard hosts a weeklong seminar to foster the artistic growth of pre-formed, pre-professional string quartets. Through intensive coaching and mentoring with members of the Juilliard String Quartet, as well as interaction with other participating quartets, students are able to refine their artistry in a stimulating artistic environment.

  • Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies

    The Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies is dedicated to fostering the legacy of the late renowned teacher Dorothy DeLay. A biennial event, the Symposium takes place at Juilliard and features a distinguished roster of artist-faculty performing recitals, leading master classes, and teaching workshops designed to refine pedagogical skills with a mind-body connection that takes background, social, and mental factors into account.

Summer Performing Arts With Juilliard

Two-week intensives for actors, dancers, pianists, and singers, hosted at Windermere Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida, and designed for ages 12-18 at intermediate and advanced levels. Summer Performing Arts With Juilliard is led by Juilliard artist faculty, which includes Juilliard alumni, faculty, and guest artists as well as industry leaders and professors from other top institutions and is run in collaboration with Nord Anglia Education. High School Music Theory and Ear Training

Juilliard Extension, our continuing education division, offers in-person and online courses for high-school-age students from around the world. College-level Ear Training and Music Theory and Analysis classes are held every semester, including during the summer, and are open to ages 14-18. Classes range in level from fundamental concepts to advanced training; additional Extension options can help prepare high school students for Advanced Placement exams, and students may also have the opportunity to earn college credit.  Learn More

Juilliard Extension also offers year-round courses, including during the summer months, in music, dance, and drama for adult students ages 18 and older.
